GUNFLINT TRAIL – The baby loons have broken free of their eggs. Eagles are intrigued watching anglers reel in fish. Baby moose are on the loose. Mosquitoes and black flies are out for blood, and the bears are up to no good. Summer in the Boundary Waters is here, and we are loving every minute of it (almost, minus the bugs). In the early summer, walleye are constantly on the move, requiring you to explore new fishing spots. It’s very rewarding when you find where they are hiding.
