During one of his canoe and fishing trips in the BWCA this summer, YouTuber content creator Brandon Farr captured the epicenter of an area now burned by wildfires.

Indeed, the closure of the entire Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in the summer of 2026 was a disruption for many paddlers, anglers, outfitters, and communities near the Boundary Waters. Farr was among the last paddlers to visit the Sundial PMA before a massive wildfire took off in the wilderness.

In this installment of the video podcast series, Farr talks with Joe Friedrichs at the Tofte Ranger Station on Superior National Forest about filming content for his YouTube channel in places like the Boundary Waters, how the wildfires impacted his content this summer, and what the future holds for his channel.
