DULUTH – To say that Bryon and Karen Tonnis simply enjoy the Boundary Waters is like saying that their brewery is “somewhat of a hit.”

Bryon and Karen are co-owners of Bent Paddle Brewing Company in Duluth. Their craft brews have been winning awards and engaging communities about the value of clean water since the company launched in 2013. The mission of Bent Paddle, the owners say, “is to brew craft beer with a concentration on sustainability for our business, employees, the environment and the greater community.”
Brewed with water from the greatest Boundary Waters lake of them all, Lake Superior, Bent Paddle turns 11 years old this May.
